Our Mission
Sports for Disabled Vets Corp is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of veterans through sports, recreation, community involvement, and meaningful support. We believe every veteran deserves opportunities to reconnect, build friendships, stay active, and discover a renewed sense of purpose regardless of physical or invisible challenges.
Our mission is to create welcoming environments where veterans and their families can participate in activities that strengthen both body and mind while building lasting relationships within their communities.
Who We Are
Founded by a disabled combat veteran, Sports for Disabled Vets Corp was created from firsthand experience with the challenges many veterans face after military service. We understand that the transition to civilian life can bring obstacles that are often unseen, including isolation, loss of purpose, physical injuries, and mental health struggles.
Our organization exists to help bridge those gaps by creating opportunities for veterans to reconnect with others through positive, engaging, and community-focused experiences.
We proudly welcome veterans of every branch, era of service, and ability level, along with their families and supporters.
Why We Started
Many veterans return home carrying burdens that are difficult for others to see. While every veteran’s journey is different, too many experience loneliness, declining health, limited social connections, or simply a lack of opportunities to engage with others who understand their experiences.
Sports for Disabled Vets Corp was founded on the belief that something as simple as sharing a game, participating in an event, or spending time with fellow veterans can help rebuild confidence, strengthen friendships, and improve overall well-being.
This organization was built to create those opportunities and to remind every veteran that they are never alone.
